Fifty dancers take over the public space, your space, like a wave. They seem to trample each other and move towards the audience. Before you realize it, they are gone again. The Wave is an intervention and an artistic statement about the place where people live and the changes that take place therein. Alida Dors made this dance installation especially for Afrovibes in response to gentrification in the big cities and works for this dance installation with dancers from BackBone, Solid Ground Movement, Charming Dancing Days, Boink, Fractal Dance Collective, 5 O 'Clock Class and Stichting Helden.
